Cody Balkin, Germantown: The Red Devils linebacker made 11 tackles (two for a loss) and forced two fumbles in Germantown's 28-10 opening-round win vs. Clarksville. Balkin returned one of the fumbles for a touchdown.

Canon Day, Houston: The Mustangs freshman was 8-of-11 passing for 275 yards and three touchdowns in Houston's 42-7 win over Dickson Co. He also carried the ball seven times for 105 yards and two TDs.

John Hampton, Collierville: Hampton had 27 carries for 181 yards and four touchdowns in a 38-3 victory over Rossview.

Brady Hughes, MUS: Hughes was 10-of-13 passing for 203 yards and two touchdowns in the Owls' 41-7 win over Knoxville Catholic.

Rico Isom, Middle College: Isom carried the ball 22 times for 302 yards and three touchdowns in a 34-13 victory over Halls. Defensively, he had six tackles and a sack.

Brody Whittaker, MASE: Whittaker was 12-of-17 passing for 231 yards and two touchdowns in a 46-0 victory over Lake County.

Jamarion Morrow, Melrose: Morrow had eight carries for 125 yards and two touchdowns in the team's 47-7 win over Obion Co. The senior was also 4-of-7 passing for 55 yards and three TDs.

Skylan Smith, Covington: Smith carried the ball 13 times for 253 yards and five touchdowns in a 63-7 victory over East.
