Outlook: The start of a new school year is a hectic time for everyone. But 2024 has been especially busy for Sydni Vice.
The Mustangs’ — and possibly the area’s — top player has been taking some college visits and has schools like Auburn, Florida, Purdue and Vanderbilt eager to get the 6-4 junior outside hitter on their rosters. Pendleton predicts she’ll be a top-25 national recruit by the time it’s all said and done.
Elsewhere, Houston has two other players who will play Division 1; senior setter Sydnee Carter is headed to Louisiana Tech while senior outside Ella Seeger is bound for Wright State. Junior libero Madelyn Wainwright possesses excellent ball control and will be another to watch as part of Houston’s attack.
