April 2023 – On Friday April 28, Houston High School softball held the official ribbon cutting ceremony for the new softball complex. The design for this facility came to fruition in August of 2020, and it was completed in September of 2021. The Lady Mustangs finally have a place to call home! Deputy Superintendent, Josh Cathey said, “For thirty plus years our girls didn’t have a home. They have USB ports for athletes to be able to charge their devices and under seating storage. The locker room connects to a bathroom, and the laundry facility is right around the corner. The coaches also received their own private office that looks into the turf room. A new shaded bullpen is steps aways from the coaches office, and the dugout is off of the bullpen as well with direct access to the locker room.

Seniors Anna Hulsey, Brynley Delancey, Brittany Mims, Faith Gibbs, and Katey McGee were announced that night and walked arm in arm onto the field with their families.
