This is the final stamp of the girls high school basketball season. Meet the 2023 Memphis area All-Metro team from this past season.

Anna Lee Avery 
Houston 

Forward | Jr. | 6-0 

Avery led the Houston girls basketball team this season, averaging 18.6 points and 3.6 rebounds per game. She helped the Mustangs reach the District 15-4A semifinals and Region 8-4A quarterfinals this past season. 

Shun Bobo 
Trezevant 

Forward | Sr. | 6-1 

Bobo was the second leading scorer for the Bears this season, averaging 17.3 points per game and 11.3 rebounds this season. She was named to the District 14-2A all-district team and was a McDonalds All-American nominee. 

Takera Bland 
Westwood 

Guard | Sr. | 6-2 

Bland was one of the top girls basketball scorers in the city this season. She averaged 24 points per game in the regular season with 6.1 blocks per game. She helped the Longhorns secure a city championship as well as a district championship this year. They came up short to Middle College in the region championship and lost to Dresden in the sectional round. 

Kayli Clarkson 
Briarcrest 

Forward | Sr. | 6-0 

The Division II-AA Miss Basketball finalistended her high school career in the Division II-AA state semifinals, scoring 34 points in a loss to Ensworth. She was a key piece for the Saints this season, averaging 18 points per game. 

Mallory Collier 
Bartlett 

Center | Sr. | 6-5 

Collier, a North Carolina State signee, was a dominant interior force for the Panthers this season. She averaged 14.4 points and eight rebounds in the postseason, helping the Panthers reach the state tournament for the first time since 2015 and state title game for the first time since 1928. She was also a Miss Basketball finalist. 

Aaliyah Converse 
St. George’s 

Guard | Jr. | 5-7 

Converse was one of the top scorers in the area this year. Along with having a 57-point game this season, she averaged 31 points per game for the Gryphons. She also averaged seven rebounds per game and 4 steals. As just a junior, she currently has a school record, 1,327 total points in three years. 

Demi Gentry 
White Station 

Guard | Sr. | 5-11 

Gentry averaged 15.7 points per game this regular season with the Spartans. She helped them reach the Region 8-4A quarterfinals after finishing fourth in District 16-4A. 

Makyah Malone 
Harding Academy 

Guard | Sr. | 5-10 

Malone dominated for Harding Academy this season, averaging 18 points per game this season. She added six rebounds per game and four assists per game during her senior campaign. Malone also eclipsed 1,000 career points this season with the Lions. 

Sydnei Marshall 
Fayette Ware 

Guard | Sr. | 5-8 

Marshall was the leading scorer for the Wildcats, averaging more than 18 points per game during her senior season. She helped the Wildcats reach the sectional round, falling to Dyer County 61-59. While the Wildcats didn’t reach the state tournament, they did win district and region championships this season. 

Daejah Richmond 
FACS 

Guard | Sr. | 5-8 

Richmond averaged more that 20 points per game this season with the Crusaders. She helped them reach the first round of the Division I-A girls basketball state tournament. Richmond is signed to play basketball at Southeast Missouri State University.

Nevaeh Scott
Bartlett
Guard | Sr. | 5-5

Scott transitioned to being the primary ball-handler for the Panthers this season with the departure of Kennedy Claybrooks. Yet, her production remained top tier as she helped orchestrate Bartlett's offense to the state title game. She averaged 12.5 points per game during the season, which jumped up to 13.8 during the postseason. She also just recently re-opened her recruitment after being committed to Chipola College.

Raven Sims
Bartlett

Guard | Sr. | 5-8

Sims' addition to Bartlett this year was one of the last pieces it needed for its state tournament run. Sims, who was the leading scorer in the city last year at Tipton-Rosemark, transferred to Bartlett and added defense and another scoring threat to a deep Panthers roster. She averaged 9.7 points per game this season, despite missing over a month of the season due to injury. Simsis also a Memphis women's basketball signee.
